Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Aura (getaura.beauty), operated by Aura Beauty. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

What Aura is

Aura is a personal colour analysis tool. You upload a photo, we analyse your skin, hair, and eye colouring, and we tell you your colour season — one of 12 categories that describes the palette most flattering to your natural colouring.

The free tier provides a colour season result and a downloadable colour card. The paid tier additionally generates personalised AI images showing your best colours, hairstyles, and makeup looks on your actual face, along with product recommendations.

Your photo

By uploading a photo, you confirm that:

• It is a photo of yourself, or a photo of another person for whom you have their explicit consent to use this service.
• You are 18 years of age or older. Our service is not intended for minors.
• You have the right to upload and share the photo.

We will not use your photo for any purpose other than providing your results. See our Privacy Policyfor full details on how your photo is handled and when it's deleted.

Results and accuracy

Colour analysis is a well-established methodology, and we use real colour science — CIELAB colour space, K-means clustering, and a 12-season classification algorithm — to produce your result. That said, no automated analysis is perfect.

Your result is a strong, data-driven starting point. Factors like photo lighting, image quality, and the inherent complexity of human colouring mean there's always some margin of uncertainty. We show you a confidence level with your result to reflect this honestly.

Results are provided for personal guidance and style inspiration — not as professional image consulting advice. Use them as a tool, not a rigid rule.

Payments

The paid analysis is a one-time purchase. Payment is processed by Stripe. Once you purchase, we begin generating your results immediately — this is an automated digital service with no cancellation window once generation has started.

Refunds: if your results were not delivered due to a technical failure on our end, we will make it right — either by redelivering your results or issuing a full refund. If you simply didn't like the outcome, we aren't able to offer refunds, as the computational work has already been performed. If you have an issue, email us at support@getaura.beautyand we'll do our best to help.

All prices are in USD. We reserve the right to change our pricing at any time, but changes will not affect purchases already made.

Your generated images

The AI-generated images produced for your paid analysis are yours to use for personal purposes — share them, download them, use them as inspiration. You may not resell them or use them commercially. Because the images are AI-generated and based on your uploaded photo, we retain no claim to them, but we also can't guarantee they are suitable for any specific purpose.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Aura to:

• Upload photos of other people without their consent.
• Attempt to abuse, reverse-engineer, or otherwise misuse the service.
• Use automated tools to make bulk requests.
• Upload content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes on anyone else's rights.

Limitation of liability

Aura is provided as-is. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us, if anything. Style decisions are yours — we're here to help inform them, not make them for you.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the service after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of the state where Aura Beauty is registered.
